Pulling off the band-aid

So, some time ago, I, like many others, listed out the things that I would accomplish this year. I left the list feeling accomplished and pictured me doing all the things I had written down. This me was enriched, carefree and apparently really wealthy... oh and skinny, of course. Then, as it usually does, reality sets in- the real kind- not the kind I watch on TV and I am back to my typical routines and maybe worse off then when I published this list. Hmmmm.

Anyway, I have a point, which is that one of the items on this list was to write a blog. So here I am writing said blog...sitting at work with a half-gulped DC. (DC=Diet Coke- It's like my cost-fixed gasoline. More on that later) I got in to a design kick way back when in 2011, resulting in the banner you see atop this note. That is me, Tess, and that is my pug, Crockett- see pugshot. We don't usually sit next to each other like that or on steps but I thought the picture was cool and "artsy" is what all the youngsters are doing so, I figure, if you cant beat 'em, join 'em! I completed the above work of art appx. 1 month ago, so belated birthday wishes are in order. Since the point of a blog is to write, and I do love to write, I felt it time to sass the ole girl up with some words. With the looming first post behind me, I'll hopefully update on a regular or semi-regular basis. Until then, signing off and best wishes for a stellar Thursday.
